Sami Toussi knows firsthand how silence and isolation can quietly erode our well-being. Growing up, she watched her father—a devoted entrepreneur—shoulder the full weight of his business struggles alone. There were no heart-to-hearts, no safe spaces to say “I’m not okay.” That silence, though invisible, left a deep mark. It also planted a seed: What if there was a space where people could speak freely—without judgment or performative positivity?

That seed eventually became Active Listener.

As a career and business coach for over a decade, Sami has worked with thousands of high-achieving professionals: brilliant people navigating layoffs, toxic bosses, burnout, imposter syndrome, and entrepreneurial loneliness. She saw a pattern again and again—people believed they had to hold it all in. Their pain was personal, but it wasn’t unique.

The world is full of professionals who appear successful on the outside, but feel emotionally exhausted, insecure, or stuck on the inside. In a culture obsessed with performance, honesty often comes last.

Active Listener is changing that.

It’s a digital platform where users can share real-life work struggles—anonymously, candidly, and without shame—and listen to others going through the same. Starting with career and workplace stressors, it creates a structured, voice-note-driven loop of validation, connection, and support.

But this isn’t just a feel-good idea. It’s a market opportunity.

🔹Over 60% of professionals report chronic workplace stress or burnout

🔹The mental wellness app market is projected to reach £3.5B+ globally by 2028

🔹Young professionals (ages 25–34) are the fastest-growing group seeking emotional support—but don’t want traditional therapy or advice apps

Active Listener is designed to scale. With an AI-enhanced platform, voice-change anonymity, and peer feedback loops, it meets users where they are—and grows with them. In time, it will expand to cover other life dimensions: relationships, mental health, parenting, identity.

Sami believes vulnerability is a strength—and that we all deserve a safe space to be real.

This is more than a product. It’s a new culture of communication. And it starts with your voice.
